Menu Generation & Order Processing System
Overview
The project aimed to develop a comprehensive web-based application enabling store users to not only create menus based on diverse categories but also to order the printed menus for in-store use. Additionally, the application incorporated an approval workflow, allowing store users to upload menus for review by the approver team. If changes were needed, feedback was provided for refinement before re-uploading. Once approved, customers could add the finalized menu to the shopping cart and proceed to place orders seamlessly.
Challenge & Solution
- The main challenge was to develop the approval process which required multiple approvals from users from the digital design company and the client.
This required us to have extensive deliberation sessions with the client and the digital design company to establish cohesive and efficient approval framework.
Achievements
- Implementation of a streamlined collaboration process between the client, the digital design company and stores for layout assembly and approval.
- Successful creation of a user-friendly web application allowing stores to independently generate menus based on specific categories, layouts and design.
Current Status
Our team developed the application and supported it for 5 years. We ensured comprehensive knowledge transfer and provided insightful code walkthroughs to support the client’s team.
